Attending a Business School and obtaining an MBA or postgraduate qualification is highly valued by many companies and potential employers.
Many potential MBA students may look at Business School rankings, although this may not always be the best criteria for choosing the right postgraduate education. Several organisations, including the Financial Times, Business Week, The Economist publish a yearly Business School and/or MBA program rankings table. UK Business Schools are usually among the top ranked Business Schools in the world.
A key criteria for choosing any postgraduate degree should be the accreditation of the Business School and their postgraduate course portfolio.
The more traditional and longer established B-Schools offer primarily a full-time, part-time and Executive General MBA. Some younger Business Schools offer more varied course selection focusing on particular sectors.
